Mastering the movements is an essential part of the athlete’s journey in CrossFit. CrossFit uses a variety of classic Olympic-style weight lifting movements and gymnastics. Many times, however, CrossFit will add a “twist” to make these movements unique and to help you with your fitness gains.
The basic CrossFit moves are timeless. The squat, the deadlift, and the infamous snatch movement – nothing is better than the fundamentals! The CrossFit movements build total overall strength and power. They do not only improve your “looks.” They drastically improve your overall fitness level.
All movements at CrossFit can be used with various amounts of weight depending on the athlete’s abilities. Modifications of all exercises are also available to make sure that all participants are able to work out confidently and safely. The fundamental movements are always rewarding. Working towards mastering them can be exciting and fun.
